Not every shipment arrives in a perfectly matching set of boxes. Sometimes one order is a neat little carton and the next looks as though it is moving house.
Sendaparcel lets you enter different box sizes in the same quote request. Each group gets its own dimensions, weight and quantity, so the details describe what is actually leaving your door.
Meet the “Add another box” button.
Start with the first packed carton. Enter its length, width, height and weight. If the next carton is a different size or weight, choose Add another box and enter that one separately.
Repeat for the other box types. Think of it as introducing the courier to the whole family, rather than sending a passport photo of just the eldest.
Matching boxes? Quantity is your friend.
Use quantity for boxes with the same dimensions and the same packed weight. For example:
- Two matching cartons: one row, quantity two.
- A smaller carton with a different weight: another row, quantity one.
- A long carton: its own row with its actual measurements.
Those are examples of how to enter a shipment, not a promise that every courier accepts every box. The available services depend on the completed shipment details and route.
Measure the parcel you will actually hand over.
Use the outside measurements of the packed carton, including anything that changes its overall size. Weigh it with its contents, packaging and cushioning inside.
Couriers may consider both the physical weight and the space a parcel occupies. Accurate packed details help the quote match the shipment. If a carrier verifies understated details, the freight may need correcting under the booking terms. A tape measure now is a much nicer surprise than a pricing query later.
Save a box you know you will meet again.
Regular sender? Give your familiar cartons a name and save their dimensions in Saved parcel sizes. You can also keep a default packed weight, then check and adjust it for each order.
The shortcut remembers the box. You still get the final say on what is inside it.
